Dr Maryse Bonduelle was born in Belgium in 1953 and concluded her medical studies at the Dutch-Speaking Free University of Brussels in 1978. She has been Paediatrician there since 1983 and Medical Geneticist since 1989. She is interested in different aspects of reproductive medicine and genetics and has published several papers in the field of assisted reproductive techniques. She obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences on ‘ICSI-related risk for the children’ in 2003. At present she is ‘Chef de Clinique’ at the Centre for Medical Genetics of the University Hospital of the Dutch-Speaking Free University of Brussels.
